Alyssa is from the Milwaukee area and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Alyssa completed her Master’s Degree at National Louis University in Chicago. She has worked in private practice, therapeutic day school, and residential treatment.
Specialties:
Alyssa has been working in the mental health field since 2013 and has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Alyssa helps her clients navigate difficult life events, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Alyssa prioritizes the needs of each individual client in sessions and uses a strengths-based approach to assist clients in navigating their mental health challenges.Â
Therapy Techniques:
Alyssa takes a relational approach to therapy and believes that the foundation to therapy is a strong, open, and trusting therapeutic relationship. Alyssa has extensive experience working with clients struggling with complex mental health issues and traumas. Alyssa has completed additional training and certification for ADHD treatment. Alyssa utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
